Privacy Notice
1 Overview
Syntexsys and its affiliates are committed to protecting the privacy and security of information processed through the Scantora app. This Privacy Notice explains how Scantora handles data when you scan, save, organize, back up, and manage codes. By downloading, installing, or using Scantora, you automatically accept the current version of this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and discontinue use.
2 Scope
This Privacy Notice applies to information collected through the Scantora mobile app, through optional sync or transfer features, and through support or operational messages related to the app.
3 Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, Scantora may process saved code content, titles, notes, app settings, notification tokens, device or app diagnostics, and support communications you send to Syntexsys. The app sends operational events to Syntexsys servers including app install detection, app open and close activity, screen navigation, app version, device platform (Android or iOS), a unique install identifier, and error reports. These events help us monitor app health and deliver software updates. Zone location settings (latitude, longitude, and reminder radius) that you configure for a code are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to Syntexsys or any backend service.
4 Location and Geodata
Scantora requests location permission solely to power on-device zone monitoring and nearby-code reminders. Your geographic position and any geo-zone coordinates you configure are never sent to Syntexsys servers or included in any API request. Location data is processed entirely on your device and remains under your control. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device system settings.
5 How We Use Information
We use information to operate core app features, provide optional on-device location reminders, maintain sync or transfer flows you enable, deliver notifications, protect the app from abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability and security.
6 What We Share
Scantora does not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only with service providers or infrastructure that are needed to deliver app features you enable, to provide diagnostics or support, or when disclosure is required by law.
7 Storage, Security, and Retention
Scantora stores information locally on your device and may transmit data to Syntexsys-controlled services when transfer or sync features are enabled. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can guarantee perfect security. Information is retained only as long as needed for app functionality, support, legal compliance, or operational recovery.
8 Your Choices
You can review or delete saved codes, adjust notification and location permissions in system settings, disable automation in the app, change storage mode where available, and uninstall the app at any time. If you contact support, we may retain that communication to resolve the issue.
9 Important Limitations
Scantora is not designed for HIPAA-regulated workflows and does not intentionally collect protected health information. Do not store PHI or other regulated sensitive health data in the app.
10 Changes and Contact
